This ball joint is used for the upper rear trailing arm bushing on ALL E36, E46, E83 X3, and E85 Z4 cars. BMW also used it as the lower bushing on most M cars. It makes a great upgrade on all non-M cars where BMW used a rubber bushing at the lower position.
This sealed ball joint is one of the best things about the rear suspension - it functions extremely well and lasts a long time. And it can be used as a replacement for the existing bushing without any further modification. The non-M cars used a solid rubber bushing for the lower arm (camber arm, wishbone) which does not last very long and relies on bushing deflection (twist) during suspension motions. The ball joint inside the upgraded design is much more effective during this suspension movements as it does not bind or deflect. And because it's sealed with rubber it will last a long time and remain quiet and maintenance free. Most customers report that after installing or "upgrading" to these bushings the rear end of their car felt much more stable.

This is the standard front sway bar / swaybar link for BMW E46 and E85 Z4. It connects the sway bar to the strut. If you hear front end noise when going over bumps while turning we recommend you check these. Alternate BMW Part#31356780847 Sold individually
Sway bar end links connect the swaybar to the rest of the suspension, preventing body roll and keeping everything in line in tight turns. This exposes these links to a high amount of stress and pressure, often leading to split bushings and sloppy body control and knocking noises. A very common weak point on the 3 series BMW is the sheetmetal of the rear shock tower. The sheetmetal here is relatively thin and very susceptible to stress and fatigue. A worn out shock will bottom-out more often and this energy is transferred through the bump stop and into the metal chassis. Stiffer shocks and shock mounts also put more stress on the sheetmetal. Factor in age, mileage, and environmental conditions and it's not a surprise that we see shock tower failures often. BMW addressed this issue with reinforcements of their own but our's are thicker for additional strength. This kit mounts on top of the shock tower and can either be bolted or welded in place. Because of the shape of the rear shock tower, these do not fit cabrio/convertible cars.

E36/E46/Z4, including M models, rear lower control arm (camber arm, wishbone). This is a direct replacement for the stock arm and includes the inner bushing. These arms are designed to be slightly weak and flimsy as they will absorb impact energy. It's better for this arm to absorb an impact rather than the wheel or trailing arm, or subframe, etc. Also, unknowing tow truck drivers like to use this part to hook their chains on to. Consequently they bend as easily as a coat hanger. An OEM replacement from Lemförder is the perfect option to restore control and suspension quality.

This is a NEW replacement polyurethane bushing used in our E46 M3 Front Street Camber Plates. This is a custom-manufactured part for Turner Motorsport, made with our own specifications. Replacement is straight-forward but does require the camber plates to be removed from the car. Price is for each bushing.

The motor mount area on a subframe is one of those easily-forgotton areas that may be hiding a serious problem. The subframe on the E46 has a gusset ('ear') welded on for the motor mounts. These gussets take the stress of the motor mount as the engine torques (more upgrades = more torque = more stress). Worn motor mounts only transfer more stress to the subframe. Unfortunately, the sheetmetal will fatigue over time even though the gusset is reinforced from the factory. Check for cracks along the welds and an uneven plane from the subframe to the gusset. A total failure of the guesset will shift your engine to the side and forward, taking out many other components along the way and leading to a very costly repair.
