Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

This is a replacement LEFT/DRIVER front inner ball joint, as found on all 2001 to 2005 BMW E46 325xi and 330xi. These are a common failure item, and we recommend replacing these in pairs (be sure to buy a right side as well). These should also be replaced when installing new control arms.

Ball joints begin to pop and rattle after a long period of wear and tear. An OEM Lemforder ball joint is the perfect replacement to ensure complete reliability eliminate any noises from the suspension.

OEM Lemförder is an engineering company that focuses on high-quality, precision manufacturing of critical suspension and steering components. Providing exceptionally high quality parts directly to BMW, as well as 50+ other big name automotive companies, such as Mercedes and Audi, their history of reliability and variety of offered parts makes them one of the biggest names for a go-to OEM parts provider. Lemförder parts place an important emphasis on design, production, and assembly, ensuring maximum reliability. They even coat all parts possible with corrosion protection for extended longevity.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Enhanced Cornering Performance: One of the primary benefits of these control arm bushings is their ability to optimize your vehicle's cornering performance. The Powerflex design provides increased rigidity, allowing for more precise and controlled cornering. Whether you're tackling winding mountain roads or maneuvering on a racetrack, you'll appreciate the improved grip and control these bushings provide. Mitigation of Understeer: Understeer, a common issue in many vehicles, occurs when the front tires lose grip during a turn. Upgrading to Powerflex Front Control Arm - Rear Bushings with Brackets helps address this issue by redistributing the load more evenly between the front and rear tires. This results in better balance and control, ensuring your BMW responds precisely to your commands in any situation. Durability and Longevity: These control arm bushings are constructed using high-quality materials, ensuring durability and a longer service life. They are engineered to withstand the rigors of daily driving and spirited performance, reducing wear and tear on your suspension components and extending the lifespan of your BMW's control arm system and related parts.

Upgrade your vehicle's handling performance with Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings. Unlike OEM rubber bushings that prioritize comfort over precision, Powerflex bushings are designed to reduce body roll and enhance cornering confidence.

Sway bars play a crucial role in transmitting cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, ensuring your vehicle stays flat during sharp turns. However, OEM rubber bushings can lead to unnecessary body roll due to their flexible nature, compromising the effectiveness of the sway bars.

Powerflex polyurethane bushings offer a firmer alternative to OEM rubber, providing improved bar retention and minimizing sloppiness during cornering. This results in enhanced handling capabilities and a more engaging driving experience.

As the leading suspension bushing manufacturer in Europe, Powerflex leverages its expertise in polyurethane materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to produce premium bushings that meet exact-fit standards. Whether you're driving on the street or hitting the track, Powerflex bushings are built to last longer than OEM rubber counterparts while delivering superior performance.

For easy installation and prolonged service life, we recommend using Powerflex Copper Grease PCG1. This grease helps reduce squeaks and ensures optimal performance of the bushings over time.

Choose Powerflex street bushings for daily-driven vehicles with occasional autocross or track outings. For dedicated track cars seeking maximum stiffness, Powerflex Black Series bushings with a 95A durometer polyurethane material are the ultimate choice, offering 25% more stiffness than street bushings.

To top it off, Powerflex stands behind its products with a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, providing peace of mind and assurance of quality and durability. Upgrade your suspension with Powerflex and experience the difference in handling performance.

Fall Line’s mono ball spherical bearing conversion kit transforms the rear suspension feel of the E46 and E36 M3. The factory rubber bushing is very large, and is prone to substantial deflection under load, as the M3 is put through its paces. Deflection of the bushing can create unwanted geometry change, steering wobble under braking, and even hysteresis of the thrust arm.

Exposure to the elements and stress/pressure can lead to failing and splitting subframe bushings. Ensure your subframe is mounted perfectly steady to prevent vibrations, knocks, suspension issues, and potential damage to the body of the vehicle or suspension components.

BMW does not sell the differential mounts separate from the cover. And as with all rubber mounts, they will have to be replaced at some point, forcing you to also buy a new diff cover. This is an Original BMW part.
**Note** - a paper gasket is not sold with this cover. BMW no longer uses paper gaskets - they advise the use of a silicone sealant such as RTV black.

Applications:
2001-2006 E46 M3, M3 CSL, coupe and convertible
