Constructed of 2-1/2" to 2-3/4" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing and powder-coated textured-red for heat and corrosion resistance. The smooth transition mandrel bends decrease turbulence which increases horsepower and torque. The high-temp wrinkle-black powder-coating insulates the tube from engine heat and protects the tube from corrosion.

The N55 intake system is a perfect example of Eventuri's “Complete System” principal. It demonstrates the perfect balance between allowing for unrestricted airflow with an open filter housing and cold air saturation with proprietary scoop and duct combination. Every detail has been meticulously developed from the prepreg carbon pieces to the precision bracket work. This intake sets a new benchmark in design and craftsmanship for the N55 platform. 

The Eventuri system uses a Patent Pending Carbon fibre Housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect.

The filter housing comprises of a high flow filter, aluminium cowl, laser cut bracket and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod shrouds the reverse mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the intake tube. This smooth reduction in cross sectional area invokes the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack.

This intake system utilizes an oil free, 7" tall conical 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 5-layers of progressive finer mesh cotton media providing maximum airflow and performance.

Carbon Fiber Look Cover w/ Auxiliary Air Inlet:
This carbon fiber look cover is constructed with lightweight vacuumed formed ABS plastic for underhood appearance. A urethane plug is also included if you wish to block off the auxiliary air inlet.

As the ECU corrects for heat soak, the boost will be decreased and power reduced. Installing an upgraded intercooler is essential to keeping the engine computer from restraining boost as temperatures climb and helps to maintain boost levels even in the face of elevated turbocharger temperatures. The Evolution Racewerks Competition intercooler is much larger than stock, providing more surface area for cooling air to pass through. Even heat soak at low speeds is reduced, making this a worthwhile addition even for stock or mildly tuned engines.

Available in either Brushed, Polished or Type III Hard Anodized Black, this intercooler looks great and holds up! The hard anodized will not only give your car the stealthy look but will also protect the intercooler fins from damage. Without any reduction in thermal efficiency, hard anodizing will prevent your fins from getting deformed as easily from daily driving or road debris. It also has the added benefit of not drawing attention to the fact that the vehicle has been modified. 

The Full Kit consists of everything included in the Standard Kit but adds the Turbo to Intercooler Pipe Kit (TIC Pipe). Increase throttle response, as well as decrease turbo lag, are the benefits of the new TIC Pipe Kit.  With the Full Kit, ALL the factory rubber and plastic intercooler pipes will be replaced.  You will have full hard piping throughout your system.

Installation Hardware

The diverter valve is responsible for redirecting boost away from the intake when it's not needed. Other cars use a blow-off valve to vent the pressurized air into the atmosphere (the whoosh sound commonly heard on turbo engines) but BMW and other makers use a diverter valve to keep the air circulating through the intake for emissions purposes. A failing diverter valve will lead to a boost leak as turbocharged air leaks past the seals instead of going into the engine when you want it. This is a minor issue on stock engines but a bigger issue on tuned or heavily modded engines (those will use an aluminum diverter valve instead of the stock plastic). The factory diverter valve is plastic which is prone to cracking and electric which will fail without warning. This is a direct replacement diverter valve for cars with the N55 and S63 (X5M/X6M) engines.

N55 takes 1 diverter valve.
S63 takes 2 diverter valves (1 per turbo).
