This caliper bushing kit will eliminate flex caused by weak rubber caliper bushings. As the brake pedal is pressed the caliper grabs the rotor and twists on its mounting bushings. The rubber bushings allow the caliper to deflect and twist which affects pedal feel and results in uneven pad wear. These solid brass bushings will not twist or deflect so your calipers can squeeze the pads evenly on both sides of the rotor (sort of like what multi-piston big brakes do). This will give you much longer pad life and a more consistent pedal feel. This is the most complete kit we have ever sold with stainless steel caliper slide bolts, o-rings, and new dust boots. Unlike other kits, these bushings are pressed into the caliper and will not shift or slide on their own.

Installation is straightforward: remove the old rubber bushings and press in the new brass bushings (we recommend special tool 003326ECS03). High temp caliper grease or anti-seize is required. The new bushings include an inner o-ring that helps trap grease on the slide bolt, reducing friction and wear.

This is the new evolution of our popular Brake Bleeder Bottle. The latest design features a one-way check valve inside the bottle that is operated when you pump the brakes. This is a more economical and simpler system than other "1 man bleeding" kits - no modification to your brake system and you only have to buy the one bottle. The newest bottles also include upgraded caps and fittings for a tighter seal.

The one-way check valve is extremely simple to use - attach the bottle and hose, open your bleed screw, and pump your brakes from the pedal. The check valve opens with each pump to let fluid and air out of the system and then seals tight when the pedal is released. The bottle uses a large magnet to conveniently stick to your brake disc while you run the hose to the caliper.

Works on just about all brake systems so no need to have specialized adapters or bleed screws.

The original and still our most popular high performance brake fluid. Ate Type 200 (and its cousin Super Blue) offer extremely high boiling points in a full liter container at an attractive price. Even though it's rated as a DOT4 fluid, the boiling points of Ate Type 200 exceeds DOT5 specs. Ate brake fluid makes an excellent street/track dual purpose brake fluid for almost all BMWs. Application note: BMW recommends low viscosity fluid for all new chassis introduced from the E60 chassis onwards, however, a high performance DOT4 fluid is still recommended for track use on these cars.

Ate Typ 200 is an amber/gold color to meet DOT regulations. It is identical in every way to Ate Super Blue, which was removed from shelves because the blue dye was not DOT compliant.

The Ate SL6 fluid is a low viscosity formula for modern ABS and DSC systems. BMW recommends low viscosity brake fluid for all chassis beginning with the E60 5-series. Low viscosity (LV) is a thinner fluid that works better than a normal fluid in the small channels and passageways in the ABS/DSC pump. Using the heavier fluid will result in a delayed response to ABS and DSC activation and a spongy feel in the brake pedal (only during ABS stops). Ate SL.6 falls just short of DOT5 specs so is classified as a DOT4. It can be mixed with other DOT4 or DOT5.1 fluid. For track use, a heavier high performance brake fluid such as Ate Typ 200 or Motul RBF600 or RBF660 is recommended because of their higher boiling point and because the thicker fluid will thin out at track temps. But for street use we recommend switching back to a LV fluid, especially in colder climates.

Motul RBF600 is a ultra high performance DOT4-rated brake fluid intended for track and race vehicles. Motul's advanced glycol and borate formula has resulted in very high boiling points - even though it's rated as a DOT4 fluid, its boiling points exceed DOT5 specs. With such a high boiling point brake fade and vapor lock due to overheating is all but eliminated. Even with a higher wet boiling point, this fluid will absorb moisture faster than most other DOT4 fluids so it will require more frequent changes than other types.

Hawk's HP Plus pads fill the need for a "dual-purpose" pad - offering acceptable street performance that also holds up well on the racetrack. The beauty of these pads is that you can put them on at home or your shop and use them to drive to and from the track, with a full day of on-track driving in between. While these track pads actually do work on the street, noticeable increases in noise, dust, and brake wear are to be expected. These pads are great for the weekend track junkie who wants exceptional street performance while also having a capable pad on the track. They are excellent for novice and first-time drivers while also being a favorite of instructors too. And they are inexpensive compared to most full race pads.

These are not all-out racing pads, however, and they work best when used within their temperature range (100-800*F). Higher friction levels and brake temps will increase wear, especially on heavier cars. Brake cooling kits are strongly recommended. If you find these pads are not lasting, or you are exceeding their performance capability, it will be time to step into a full, dedicated track/racing pad.

The Hawk HT10 compound combines the high torque levels of the aggressive Hawk Blue with a revised friction compound that makes it easier to modulate and wears nicer on rotors. The HT10 remains consistent over a wide range of temps and can even work when cold. It's been a popular pad for racers looking for the performance of a Hawk Blue but is not as harsh on rotors.

Whether it is installing new wider wheels, tires, brake ducts, shocks, or springs, there could be a rubbing issue on the inside of your fender well. Our rack stops will help protect your investment. Rack stops are spacers that install inside of the tie rod and limits the amount of steering travel. You can save the costs of replacing rubbing tires, worn out brake ducts, cut shock reservoir hoses, and broken underside plastic panels. There is also the added benefit of knowing you can turn the steering wheel to full lock and not be worried that the wheels will rub. Our rack stop length is the approximate length that will be removed from the outside tire wall's path. For example, if a 16mm rack stop is used, there will be 16mm more clearance for a brake duct between the fender well and the edge of the tire. Included with this kit: 2 Delrin rack stops, 1 black (driver's side), 1 white (passenger's side), 2 Locking plates (only needed on E36), 4 zip ties, detailed instructions.

Castrol SRF is an ultra high performing silicone-based brake fluid that exceeds DOT5 boiling points. SRF is a truly impressive brake fluid with the highest boiling points of any brake fluid we currently sell. We have used it extensively in our Touring and GT race cars. It's a silicone-based fluid that is hydrophobic and will not absorb moisture. Moisture in other brake fluids is what will lower wet boiling points but SRF stays stable even at very high temperatures. SRF is compatible with the rubber seals and metals used in conventional glycol-based braking systems so it can be used in almost all cars. It's especially common in cars that are in storage for extended time (see below). Mixing silicone and glycol fluids is not recommended so SRF is best used with all new hydraulic components or by repeatedly flushing the old system with SRF until the old fluid is gone.

Silicone fluids will need more frequent bleeding than conventional fluids. Since it does not absorb moisture, water will sit in the system and turn to vapor when it boils. The vapor, and any remaining water, will need to be bled out to avoid excessively spongy brakes and long pedal travel. Pooled water can also lead to rust so bleeding often is strongly recommended, especially on cars that sit for extended periods. A sealed bleeding tool works better than the traditional two-person method.
