This is an OEM INA Hydraulic Tensioner. It provides pressure to the Water Pump and Alternator belt to assure maximum performance and prevent the belt from slipping, causing decreased cooling or low charge rates from the alternator.

This is an OEM INA Timing Chain Tensioner. Keeping pressure on the timing chain, this keeps the chain from slipping teeth and causing the timing to be off, potentially leading to engine damage.

This is an OEM INA Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The idler pulley is known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).

For Alternator / Water Pump Belt
Hydraulic Belt Tensioner for E36, E46, E39 6-cyl models. This is the oil-filled tensioner that keeps the main drive belt in the proper tension. Over time the piston seals inside allow fluid to leak out. The tensioner becomes frozen or inoperable. Replacement is the best corrective action to take. This can be done during any belt or pulley service or anytime the fan is off the engine.

This radiator expansion tank is used on E53 X5 4.4i and 4.6is with M62 engine, and Z3 2.3 2.5i 2.8 3.0i from 1999-2002. It is a common failure item as the plastic weakens over time and stress cracks will lead to coolant leaks. We have found that the expansion tanks should be replaced based on age as well as condition. Expansion tanks seem to have a lifespan of less than six years before they show signs of fatigue and wear. Pre-emptively replacing the expansion tank as part of an overall maintenance plan can prevent you from getting stranded from a sudden failure later on. This is the OEM Behr part - not an aftermarket. This high quality OEM Behr expansion tank is used on N62 V8 engines, and is a common failure item on X5's with V8 engines Be leary of competitors selling this part for less -- is it a Behr? Probably not. We only carry the Behr brand expansion tank as it is the only one we use in our own BMWs. If you are overhauling your coolant system, now is the time to consider preventative replacing this expansion tank. More than likely, you are going to replace the radiator in your vehicle at least once. The joints where the cores meet the end tanks tend to get weak and are the first place to spring a leak. Impacts to the fins themselves can cause holes to form. Corrosion and clogging from the inside can make cooling less than effective and compromise coolant flow. Replace your leaking unit with a factory replacement and get that jug of coolant out of your back seat.
This is a factory original style radiator from Behr and will fit perfectly into the stock location. Cooling will be identical to what your car came with originally. A great replacement with all the proper connections and in all of the proper locations.
When doing radiator and cooling service, you will obviously lose coolant. Browse through the cooling section of your model to see factory correct coolants, seals, and caps. Before beginning, check your hoses to make sure everything is in good shape.
This is an OEM INA tensioner pulley, also known as the adjusting pulley and lower pulley. This pulley is mounted on the belt tensioner near the center of the belt assembly. The upper and lower pulleys are known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. This pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. This pulley is mounted along with the hydraulic belt tensioner but can be replaced on its own. It is used for the main drive belt on the M50-M54 family engines (M50, M50TU, M52, S52, M52TU, M54, M56, and S54 engines). This is the same belt that covers the water pump/alternator/power steering systems. Replacement is a very easy procedure (requires fan removal) and will have your engine purring in no time. Belt replacement is strongly recommended at the same time. If you have a mechanical belt tensioner, the pulley can only be replaced with a new tensioner.

The OEM INA Tensioner Bearing allows the belt tensioner arm to rotate and apply pressure to the serpentine belt. With a bad bearing, the arm may seize up and prevent the tensioner from working properly.
