The Turner engineered catch cans offer a pre-setup design based ion desired flow direction, however, this does not limit you to this flow. What's better than using standard connecting rod bearings in your next engine build? Using our Turner Motorsport WPC-treated bearings! Our process begins with King Engine Bearings bearing shells. Designed with performance and load capacity in mind, King's SV Series bearings feature a Lead-free, tri-metal Silver-based overlay with a Babbitt plating made to provide seizure resistance. Ideal for extreme-load engines, it serves as an OE replacement and can be employed as a sputter replacement. Despite offering great wear and friction resistance, the engineers at Turner Motorsport saw an opportunity to further improve King's bearing design with WPC surface treatment. WPC reduces friction and adds strength, vastly enhancing the durability of critical internal engine components. Ultra-fine particles are fired at the surface at very high speeds—similar to shot-peening, but on a much smaller scale. The treated parts come out smoother and stronger due to thermal discharge. The two greatest enemies of any high-performance engine are heat and friction, and WPC technology effectively reduces both.

This is the OEM Bosch ignition coil that is the current replacement for most BMW 6 and 8-cylinder engines built since 2003. It's listed as a replacement coil for M54, M56, S54, N52, N54, N62, N63, N73, S63, S63TU and other engines. BMW has made numerous changes to ignition coil part numbers in recent years but has approved this part number to work in the vehicles listed in our fitments tab. This part number replaces previous BMW part numbers 12130390064, 12130148594, 12131712219, and 12137551260.
Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil but could be from other things as well. Sometimes a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil. We suggest always having one or two coils on hand to keep as spares.
This Bosch part also satisfies BMW's service bulletin for 2001-2003 E46 M3 ignition coils (SIB 12 24 05). That SIB calls for Bremi or ERA brand coils but BMW has replaced them with this Bosch design.

BMW uses a lot of plastic in their engine components to save weight and money. Unfortunately, plastic is damaged easily and the factory oil filter cap needs a special tool to remove. This aluminum cap is much more sturdy and features a standard 19mm hex post on the top. 19mm is also the size of your engine oil drain plug, reducing the number of tools that you need to complete an oil change. This cap is designed to use the original o-ring seal so no special parts are required. You only have to remove the original 'filter cage' from the original cap and transfer it to the new aluminum cap. The satin black anodize blends in with the rest of your engine bay making this a smart and subtle upgrade.
