From years of European automotive experience, the enthusiasts at ECS Tuning have developed a strong understanding of what it takes to produce a high-quality brake pad. After thousands of miles and many different pad compounds, they've landed on the ideal blend for the new DD23 "Daily Driver" brake pad! This enthusiast-developed pad offers confident stopping power, very low dust, quiet braking, and a positive initial bite. The perfect choice for your daily-driven Euro!
If you find yourself “pumping the brakes” over the brake pad selection process for your daily driver, your answer is this DD23 pad. This is the one!
As a team of enthusiasts who own all types of European cars, we have the advantage of the exposure that comes with the enthusiast lifestyle - and have a strong understanding of what makes a great brake pad. In the pursuit of a really great brake pad for daily driving, we’ve tested a wide range of brake pads. After thousands of test miles, iterating through a variety of pad compounds, we’ve landed on the ideal blend for our DD23 Daily Driver ceramic pad.
Features:
Good stopping power - Brake pads need to stop your car, period, so this is key. We focused on selecting a compound that offers a healthy level of friction (both when hot and when cold) for safe, positive stopping power.
Positive initial bite - You should feel your brakes engage as you press the pedal, but it should not feel like an on/off switch! Advanced ceramic composition means you’ll enjoy a smooth transition on and off of the brake pedal, meaning your passengers will have a comfortable ride in stop-and-go traffic. We’ve hit a good balance here.
Very low-dust - Some factory-installed pads are eye-poppingly dusty, which is a no-go for us. Thanks to the composition of this ceramic pad, which is copper-free and contains a negligible amount of other metals, dust is both lighter in color and very limited in amount. We’ve improved on the “dust factor” without sacrificing on bite and stopping power as a good compromise, which will be a win for anyone who doesn’t detail daily (or anyone who does, too!)
Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. Extremely low metallic composition means they will not squeal. DD23 is comfortable and quiet - both on the ears and in lack of vibration transmitted through the cabin.
Long life - This should be an obvious one. Your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This is another benefit to having ceramic material composition versus a softer organic pad (which have higher metallic and various organic elements) and wear much faster. Ours are kind to rotors, too (no accelerated wear characteristics) for many miles of motoring.

From years of European automotive experience, the enthusiasts at ECS Tuning have developed a strong understanding of what it takes to produce a quality high-performance brake pad. After thousands of miles and many different pad compounds, they've landed on the ideal blend for the new EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" brake pad! If you're looking for a streetable, track-capable, performance brake pad, look no further than the ECS EP24!
Features & Benefits:
Strong stopping power - Increased coefficient of friction offers satisfying stopping power when cold (a necessity for a street pad!) and even more G-force-inducing power when they warm up. With cold and warm friction comparable to Hawk HPS (and higher than many other street pads) the stopping experience with the EP24 pad is impressive for street-driven vehicles on streetable tires. Positive initial bite - Race pads have the reputation of acting like an on/off switch, which is a no-go for a pad for a street application. The EP24 offers OE-level initial bite for low-stress braking in stop-and-go situations. Reasonable dust - Race pads utilize a high metallic composition. Pads that use high amounts of metal not only dust terribly, but also will bake onto wheels with high temperatures and are a bear to clean. This is not the case with these performance street pads. Now using these pads on most of our shop cars, we’ve found over time that dust is comparable to factory pads in most applications (with greatly improved braking performance). Quiet braking - It’s not a race pad, so it shouldn’t squeal like one. While not as quiet as our ceramic DD23 pad, you’ll still be able to drive your spouse to dinner. Long life - This should be an obvious one. Even in a performance pad, your daily driver pads should last and last, so that was key in selecting our ideal compound. This compound wears slower and is kinder to rotors than two of the top competitors.
EP24 "Enthusiast Performance" brake pads are included in our Lifetime Replacement Program for worry-free motoring.

Genuine BMW Brake Pads are often the go-to choice for your vehicle, especially if you have M Sport Brakes. We understand your desire to keep things stock - BMW got it right from the factory!
We recommend doing brake rotors at the same time as your pads - **proper bed-in is required whenever you are switching brakes

ECS has done it again, this time with the most advanced brake rotor yet - the 5th generation of high-performance brake rotors specifically designed for German cars. With each new generation, iterative improvements have been made to enhance the overall braking performance, durability, and reliability of these rotors.
The V5 plain rotor design is perfect for daily drivers looking for a reliable and affordable brake rotor option and features a durable GeoSpec® silver-colored coating, which offers superior corrosion protection versus a painted or zinc-coated rotor. This coating also eliminates the light oiling many manufacturers utilize to avoid flash rust while rotors are stored or in transit: this means there's no cleaning or scuffing required to install ECS V5 plain rotors, making brake services quicker than that with uncoated rotors.
Crafted from high-quality materials, ECS V5 brake rotors are engineered to withstand the rigors of high-performance driving. The precise machining and finishing ensure optimal rotor balance and minimize vibration, resulting in a smooth and consistent braking experience.
Whether you're a weekend warrior or a daily driver, ECS 5th-generation brake rotors are sure to provide you with the stopping power, durability, and reliability you need to confidently tackle any driving situation. Upgrade your braking performance today!

These 2-piece floating rotors help dissipate heat better than a standard cast iron rotor and are also lighter for less unsprung weight. Managing heat in the brake system is vital to braking performance, especially on the track or when driven hard. It's why your brake rotors have internal vanes that vent heat as the rotor spins. These 2-piece ECS rotors feature an outer cast iron friction surface ring that is separate from the aluminum center hat. This allows better airflow through the vanes and for the friction ring can expand as it gets hot. The rotors are also cross-drilled for better ventilation and slotted to improve brake pad performance.
ECS 2-Piece Rotors feature:
These are the same size as the stock rotors so your stock caliper and mounting bracket will fit and there will be no clearance issues with your wheels or to other components. Stainless steel rotor retaining screws are included. You can use these with any brake pad.
Price is for the pair of brake rotors.

These REAR rotors fit F30 328iX/335i/335iX and F32 428iX/435i/435iX models with the optional M Sport Brakes upgrade (option code S2NHA). These rotors are larger than what came on the base, Luxury, Modern, Sport, and M Sport trim packages. The dead giveaway whether or not you have the M Sport option is the rear caliper - the S2NHA option added 2-piston Brembo calipers on the rear while all of the brakes were a standard single piston caliper.
These rotors are the original rear M Sport brakes for the 228/328/428 as well as the 335/435. These are a blank rotor design (no dimples or slots). But they are larger than the standard brake rotors to help in braking performance, especially when driven hard.
