The next step in tuning your car's handling - after shocks/springs and camber plates - should be a set of swaybars. Using larger front and rear sway bars will give your car better/quicker turn-in and less bodyroll in corners. These bars replace the existing sway bars on the car for a clean and simple upgrade with very little downside. Sway bars should be matched with your springs/shocks to maintain a proper handling balance. In some cases only a front or rear bar is needed to positively change the balance and make the car more neutral. We sell sway bar kits from H&R, Racing Dynamics, OE BMW upgrades, and even some of our own designs. Swaybars are sold with new bushings. New links and other hardware are strongly recommended.

These adjustable rear links are only required when using sway bar / swaybars with a suspension with a very low ride height, where it may be necessary to adjust the length of the end links for proper sway bar clearance from the drive axles or other suspension components. These suspensions are usually found only on race cars but this may also apply to street cars with sport springs/sport coil overs that are lowered a lot. On most street cars lowered 1.5" or less, the stock links will be fine.

These end links feature a Heim joint, which allows enough lateral movement when disconnected to adjust the length of the link without removing the entire link from the car. This is particularly helpful when eliminating or adjusting preload while tuning the suspension. Similar links without this joint, can't be adjusted without totally removing the link from the car.

Built-in grease fittings allow for occasional lube, and a packet of grease is included. These links are sold as a set, and include two end links and hardware for H&R and TMS sway bars (other brands may not need the hardware). 

At their shortest setting they are 2.875" hole to hole and on their longest setting they are 3.5" hole to hole.

*Note: these links will not work with factory or non-adjustable Eibach sway bars.

Our renowned TMS adjustable front sway bar / swaybar links for BMWs are now available in custom lengths, making them easy to order for any aftermarket or custom suspension setups. Simply measure for your ideal link length, and order the links with the best length range (below). Each sway bar link has a 10mm diameter mounting pin/stud, which is the typical factory/stock size for a universal fitment. These are sold by the pair, and each set includes two matching sway bar end links.

These end links offer the quiet operation and long life of "stock" BMW end links, but with the strength and adjustability of rod-end style sway bar links. These sway bar links can be used on a wide variety of BMWs and aftermarket BMW suspensions. When measuring, please consider that the length ranges of our Custom Adjustable end links are measured from the center to center on the end link mounting stud / pin, as shown in our diagram.

Note for E9X M3: the unique mounting on the M3 strut requires a set of our adapter seats (#TSU9912AF9). You can add them with your links from the menu below.

Turner's new Performance Front End Links feature massive Teflon-lined FK 1/2" Bearings to provide the highest load capacity for use with stiffer aftermarket sway bars. Custom heat-treated Chromoly High Misalignment studs connect to the sway bar and offer extreme articulation capability (65 degrees) to prevent the end link from binding when used with different adjustment holes on aftermarket sway bars. The end links are length adjustable to eliminate preload on the sway bars, which can result from uneven settling of springs or uneven suspension heights from corner weighting. Blue Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum turnbuckles work in conjunction with the left and right-hand threaded rod ends for simple and precise adjustment.     Sway bars are typically sold as a front and rear set to balance the handling. But a front sway bar only can also have excellent benefits, especially on a street car. Going with a larger front bar will improve steering and handling even at low-moderate speeds. Steering turn-in is faster and gives the car a more direct and responsive feel. Cars with staggered wheel fitments (a narrower front wheel compared to the rear) will especially benefit from this and help the front tire 'bite' into the road.

    We use an adjustable 27mm sway bar that has been fine-tuned for use on the E46 non-M models. Urethane bushings with a reinforced inner core that requires no lubrication are included. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends.

    With the wide range of suspensions and sway bars available today adjustable sway bar links can help you with many problems. Along with the ability to remove preload you can change the length to maximize sway bar geometry. Example: if the sway bar hoop comes too close to the steering rack, oil cooler, or under tray in its suspension travel you can adjust it by simply lengthening or shorting the adjustment rod.     The Turner Motorsport sway bar / swaybars for the E46 M3 were designed to provide better overall balance and performance than the stock anti-roll bars. With these bars you can greatly reduce bodyroll and decrease the understeering effects of a staggered wheel setup. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling for both the street and the track. The Turner bars are sized at 30mm in the front and 25mm in the rear (+4 and +3.5mm from stock, respectively). We supply them with a urethane bushing with a reinforced inner core that requires no lubrication or maintenance so you won?t have to put up with annoying squeaks and annual greasing work. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends. We feel that these are the best bars on the market for the E46 M3 - we have used these on our race-winning M3s in the Koni Challenge and SCCA T2 classes.

    Fitment
    These bars fit in the stock locations using the original brackets and links. Our bar has been designed to use the stock M3 front sway bar links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs. The rear hardware has been upgraded in our kit to a M10 sized bolt and it can be a little tricky to install on the factory end link. To avoid pre-loading the bar, it is best to leave one side un-done until the car is lowered to the ground. Never connect both links to the same bar with the car off the ground.

    Do I need adjustable sway bar links?
    The adjustable sway bar links ensure that there is no pre-load on the bar and that the bar has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable links fix all of that because you can then shorten or lengthen the link to match the installation of the bar. If you have coil overs or the car is very low, you should definitely have the adjustable links because these conditions may contribute to the pre-load situation. Adjustable front or rear links can be added from the options listed below.

    Setup
    The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the holes furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the soft setting. Adjust to your liking from there.

    Lowering your BMW does wonders for appearance and handling, but it also changes suspension geometry in ways that can hurt performance.     This single swaybar link is adjustable to eliminate preload on the front sway bar in E30 M3, E36 M3, E46, and Z4 models. Preload is tension on the bar when the car is at rest on the ground. Ideally, the bar should be neutral with zero tension on both ends (no twist in the bar at rest). Preload comes from inconsistent side-side ride height (such as with coil overs), a bent swaybar, a bent strut housing, or a chassis with bent or skewed frame rails. The handling is affected with a preloaded sway bar so removing that tension will give you more consistent handling and response. Preloading can also lead to premature failure of the link ball joints.

    To remove preload you only need an adjustable link on one side of the car. Install your stock swaybar link on one side, lower the car to the ground, adjust the Turner link to meet the swaybar hole on the other side, and tighten everything up. Never install both sway bar links with the tires off the ground. Our link is made from a stock HD swaybar link with an easily adjusted hex rod in the middle.

    One link or two? Technically, the remove preload only one link is required. However, there may be cases where having two links is better. Having an adjustable link on both sides of the car will allow you to better position the front sway bar for clearance or when a different racing style coil over is used.

    We put together this special sway bar set for the SpecE46 racing class (SE46) and any other E46 that gets heavy track time. We use the 30mm M3 front bar combined with the 21mm E46 non-M rear bar. From our time racing the E46 in World Challenge, Grand-Am, and SCCA club racing we found that the E46 likes a stiffer sway bar and less spring rate. Taking the M3 front bar, which is solid, is exactly what we wanted. They are adjustable in the front (3-position) and the rear (2-position) to fine tune the handling. Bushings are included and new adjustable links are optional. These bars are crafted from a special spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. They have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends.

    Setup: The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the holes furthest from the end of the bar. When using these in a non-SE46 setup (or other struts beside MCS) the strut housing may have to be rotated in the spindle so that the sway bar link lines up better with the sway bar tab on the strut.

    Adjustable sway bar links are strongly advised to ensure that there is no pre-load on the bars. And to position the bar so that it has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car, from differing ride heights or from the chassis being slightly twisted. With the SE46 coil overs the adjustable links are a smart idea. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable front or rear links can be added from the options listed below.

    As Used on Project E46 330 To reduce the understeering affects of a staggered wheel setup you want a balanced set of sway bars. We use a 2-way adjustable 27mm front bar and a 3-way adjustable, 21mm rear bar. These anti-roll bars have precision forged ends and include urethane bushings with a reinforced inner liner that eliminates squeaks and doesn't require lubrication. The bars are powder coated for durability and good looks. These bars are made from a proprietary alloy that is both stronger and more resilient than other sway bar kits.

    Fitment
    These bars fit in the stock locations using the existing brackets and links. Adjustable links are not required but recommended if the car is lowered or if you have coil overs. We can also include new factory links with the hardware pressed in for a quicker install. This is especially helpful in the rear where the hardware can be tricky. To avoid pre-loading the bar, it is best to leave one side un-done until the car is lowered to the ground. Never connect both links to the same bar with the car off the ground.

    Do I need adjustable sway bar links?
    The adjustable sway bar links ensure that there is no pre-load on the bar and that the bar has the correct clearance to other suspension components. Pre-load is when the bar is slightly stressed when it's on the car. If you have to force the links to fit the bar because it has tension then you have pre-load. Adjustable links fix all of that because you can then shorten or lengthen the link to match the installation of the bar. If you have coil overs or the car is very low, you should definately have the adjustable links because these conditions may contribute to the pre-load situation.

    Setup
    The bars are adjustable so any driver can find an ideal setup for the type of driving they are doing. The sway bar becomes stiffer in the hole(s) furthest from the end of the bar. The holes at the very end of the bar are the softest setting. We would generally recommend starting out with the front bar set to the stiffer setting and the rear bar positioned in the middle. Adjust to your liking from there.
