BMW Intake Parts for BMW 3 Series E92 (2007-2013)

The Eventuri E9X M3 Carbon Fiber Plenum is crafted from 100% high-grade prepreg carbon, including the internal trumpets, replacing the stock plastic version. This upgrade enhances the acoustic experience of the naturally aspirated BMW V8 engine without impacting performance. Eventuri maintained the same internal volume as tuned by BMW to preserve the M3's power delivery characteristics.

While the carbon plenum doesn't offer a performance boost, it elevates the induction sound, transforming the M3's driving experience. The raw V8 rumble produced by the plenum imparts a CSL-like sound, creating an exhilarating driving sensation. Extensive testing with various carbon thicknesses has fine-tuned the sound, resulting in an astonishing induction volume and tone.

The Eventuri E9X M3 Carbon Fiber Plenum is compatible with both the OEM airbox and aftermarket intake systems. Pairing it with Eventuri's E9X M3 intake system unlocks genuine performance improvements.

In addition to the weak stock chargepipe, the factory N54 diverter valves can also be a source for boost leaks. The diverter valve takes overboost and re-directs it back through the intake and turbos instead of allowing it to pass into the intake manifold. It's the same as a blow off valve (BOV) but instead of releasing into the engine bay, it stays contained to the engine. The stock diverter valves (DV) are plastic and connect with more plastic into the chargepipe and turbo inlet pipes. The plastic can become brittle and crack even on stock engines and leak boost, which leads to a loss in power and performance.

Turbosmart has developed two kits to replace and upgrade the stock diverter valves - a direct replacement kit (shown) and a combination DV/BOV "Dual Port" kit. This direct replacement kit includes new high-performance DV and stronger silicone hose to connect them to the turbo inlet pipes (Vargas silicone inlets are recommended). The Turbosmart Kompact DV will give you all of the strength and reliability you need to take your turbo build to the next level.

Turbosmart has developed two kits to replace and upgrade the stock diverter valves - a direct replacement kit and a combination DV/BOV "Dual Port" kit (shown). This Dual Port Kit is a DV and a BOV together in one unit. An internal valve directs some of the charged air into the turbo inlets and the rest is dumped into the engine bay like a traditional BOV. The amount of boost released into the air is determined by an internal spring in the Dual Port unit (additional springs are also available). This allows you to custom tailor how much boost and BOV "whoosh" you hear. In addition to the DV/BOV combo, stronger silicone hose is included to connect them to the turbo inlet pipes (Vargas silicone inlets are recommended). Airflow efficiency and maximizing the potential of the stock intake design were the keys to development for the Dinan S65 intake. Dinan improves on the factory air box system by using a larger K&N filter combined with a precision molded carbon fiber intake tube. The increased amount of air feeds the engine and elicits a slightly more audible and sporty tone over its stock counterpart. Dinan claims 8hp and 5ft-lb torque gain with this kit.

For over 35 years, Dinan has been America's premier tuning company, pioneering advancements in BMW modification while retaining a focus on balanced performance that preserves the original character and driving feel that a BMW offers. When you install a Dinan part on your car, know that it's not only carefully developed and tested, but that Dinan stands behind it with a four year, 50,000-mile warranty. Dinan believes so fully in their “total package” approach that once your car has been fitted with enough of their parts, they celebrate your conversion from stock to Dinan with an exclusive trunk badge, displayed proudly by BMW enthusiasts everywhere. This intake is worth 3 points toward your Dinan badge.

Fitment note: Convertible models require modification to a factory chassis brace. Detailed instructions are included.

When modifying the car and increasing boost, installing an upgraded intercooler is essential to keep the engine computer from restraining boost as temperatures climb. The stock air-air intercooler is quickly overcome with heat and can't keep the intake air cool enough. If it's too hot the engine computer will reduce power to safer levels. A Dinan intercooler is much larger than stock, providing more surface area for cooling air to pass through. Even heat soak at low speeds is reduced, making this a worthwhile addition even for stock or mildly tuned engines. The E92/E93 335i Dinan intercooler is 93% larger than stock but is a direct replacement with only minor trimming of plastic undertrays required for installation. The factory charge piping in and out of the intercooler is re-used.
