F80 M3, F82 M4 Supersprint Performance Exhaust System

Supersprint has announced their complete performance exhaust upgrade for the new F80 M3 and F82 M4. The M3/M4 will come alive with Supersprint's characteristic beautiful craftsmanship and 60 years of exhaust tuning experience. Individual sections of the exhaust will be available starting in early 2015 but we have details of each piece now. As with every exhaust system, Supersprint optimizes the shape and size of the piping to optimize flow. They focus on the system as a whole - from the turbo downpipes to the tailpipe to unlock as much horsepower and torque and deliver an intoxicating exhaust note. The M3/M4 Supersprint exhaust will comprise four sections - downpipes, front section 1, center section 2, and mufflers.

Turbo downpipes: stainless steel and mandrel bent free-flow downpipes to eliminate the biggest restriction in the M3/M4 exhaust: the primary catalytic converters. These downpipes will be essential for releasing serious power from the twin-turbo S55 because the stock cats are such a restriction.
Front Section 1: available with or without HJS metallic sport catalytic converters. These will connect to the Supersprint downpipes or the stock downpipes. When used with the stock downpipes they will eliminate the factory secondary cats for better flow and more power and torque. Section 1 must be used with the Supersprint Section 2.
Center Section 2: this set of pipes will eliminate the factory resonator. This will make the exhaust louder and also reduce weight. Supersprint has engineered this with an H cross-over pipe for better torque. This must be used with a Supersprint Section 2.
Rear Mufflers: two different rear M3/M4 mufflers will be available - street (with exhaust valves) and race (without valves). The mufflers will work with the stock exhaust as well with a slip-fit connection to the factory section 2 resonator. Each muffler has been designed to be free-flowing but also tuned for a sporty and refined sound. Tips are available in three finishes - chrome, black, and a new satin silver.
