Product Details
This is the perfect big brake kit to add serious bite and stopping power while on the street or for the occasional track day.
The FNSL 4-piston calipers used in this kit feature a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec, medium gray color, hard-anodized finish. Hard anodizing provides superior wear resistance in the piston bores and high resistance to abrasion and corrosion throughout. Wilwood Thermlock pistons are used which reduce heat transfer from the pads and increase fade resistance. This, in turn, extends service life by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. The caliper piston volumes are matched for full compatibility with the OE master cylinder output and ABS controls for seamless integration. Additionally, these calipers are fully compatible with manual brake conversions to balance bar pedals using appropriately sized master cylinders. Mounting brackets, including all premium grade fasteners, secure the calipers to the spindles in the stock location with minor modifications to the dust shield.
Spec37 alloy GT competition series 14” diameter directional vane rotors are dynamically balanced and then mounted to the OE hubs with weight-saving forged aluminum hats. As is with the calipers, the hats are hard anodized for superior wear resistance and extended service life at the load-bearing surfaces. Further weight reduction is achieved by accommodating the elimination of the parking brake hardware.
BP-20 compound pads are designed to support advanced level track day and club sport competition, high speed or heavyweight drag cars, and even medium to heavy braking dirt tracks. They feature smooth engagement with a moderate wear rate at high temperatures.
