The Dinan sport muffler is designed to compliment the 325/330 and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Dinan engineers their exhausts to sound great and be a natural fit to the character of the car as well as produce more power and torque. Dual 2.75" stainless tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. Dinan uses only 304 stainless steel in their systems for the maximum corrosion protection. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. Supersprint revised their rear muffler designs to offer this 'Generation 2' version - smaller body and freer flow than the standard Supersprint muffler but quieter and more civilized than the full Lightweight Racing mufflers. It's still lighter than the stock original or standard Supersprint mufflers. The sound is a more refined version of the full racing mufflers with less drone and quieter overall but still with plenty of ripping S54 aural tone.

This Supersprint section 2 replaces the second of two resonators in the 323/328 exhaust. By deleting resonators you can gain a little more volume from the exhaust. This is especially good if you're a fan of the stock exhaust sound and just want to hear more of it. Replacing one resonator makes a moderate difference but replacing both section 1 and 2 will be a dramatic increase in sound. And with less restriction there is a slight horsepower and torque gain as well!

This is the original Supersprint street rear muffler for the E46 M3. It's a direct replacement for the stock rear muffler but with less restriction and better flow. This exhaust is not overly loud (conforming to European noise restrictions) and no drone but is larger and heavier than the other Supersprint mufflers. When building your vehicle for the track, there are a lot of considerations to take into account. One major factor is your exhaust system. Many exhaust systems are only designed for so much exhaust flow, which can really limit the total amount of potential power your engine can produce. To address this issue with heavily tuned, turbocharged, or supercharged E46 M3s, Supersprint now offers a new line of high performance Center Twin-Pipe Exhaust Pipes that are designed to provide you with a significantly higher exhaust flow than their original performance exhaust pipes, 787503 (Resonated) and 787513 (Non-Resonated), designed for street and light track performance.
This twin pipe system utilizes two high flow pipes instead of a single large pipe, allowing for up to 25% greater total exhaust flow. Thanks to the increased total flow, these center pipes are capable of supporting S54 engines producing over 400whp, perfect for all highly modified street cars or performance track vehicles.

A new oxygen sensor can improve driveability and lengthen engine life. Ultimately, you achieve a smoother running engine that is more fuel efficient. Feedback from the oxygen sensor provides closed-loop control of the injected quantity of fuel for optimum air-fuel mixture, enabling virtually complete combustion to take place. Contaminants in gas and certain atmospheric conditions can drastically shorten the life of any oxygen sensor, therefore they should be checked with every periodic maintenance and changed if necessary.

What makes the IKON unique?
Like all Rogue Engineering products, the IKON exhaust system is entirely designed and developed in the US in our facility in Hohokus, NJ. By doing the development, fitting, evaluation, and testing here, you're assured a product that not only looks and sounds great but a product you can have installed with confidence.
The budget-minded enthusiast will quickly notice that the first IKON offering, for the BMW E46 325/330 is price much lower than our DMS exhaust. With a price of only $550, this is undoubtedly the most affordable BMW specific exhaust offered to date. Isn't it time an affordable exhaust solution be available for the E46?
By utilizing a custom-made, single muffler (instead of producing two, individual mufflers in our DMS system), Rogue was able to save manufacturing costs with this simpler design, and pass this savings to the performance customer. Many enthusiasts do not pay particular attention to the shape or size of the muffler, as long as it fits well and sounds good. The RE IKON fits this bill perfectly.
How much performance should I expect to gain?
In testing, replacing only a muffler or even the complete exhaust system on an E46 yields small measurable gains. Of course, these minute gains may be depicted on a carefully constructed dyno chart. Rogue Engineering looks at an exhaust with reality in mind, designing the exhaust to deliver great looks and sound, with minimal issues of fit. Of course, all of this at an affordable price would be a bonus. These are features that the Rogue Engineering IKON deliver!
For real-world exhaust performance gains, this typically means replacing the largest restriction, the catalytic converters, located in the factory exhaust manifolds. From there, free flow aftermarket catalytic converters could be added downstream, after the exhaust gas velocity had an opportunity to accelerate out of the engine, allowing for the most LEGAL gas velocity allowable. This course of action, however, can typically can exceed more than $3000 plus installation.
Replacing the ENTIRE factory exhaust system (resonators and rear muffler) with larger tubing WITHOUT addressing the largest restriction is an exercise in futility. This kind of exhaust "upgrade" will generally cost needless additional installation charges, fit issues (can 6 clamps on an exhaust REALLY fit like factory?), and ultimately, drain your wallet faster than a Bugatti Veyron.
