BMW Suspension Parts for BMW 3 Series E92 (2007-2013)

Stay planted in the corners with this 328i and 335i suspension upgrade. The stock suspension does well to deliver comfort and control. But our E92 customers demand more and this H&R and Bilstein package is a step above the stock, delivering less bodyroll, better balance, and improved stance, and without sacrificing ride quality.

H&R Sport springs lower the ride height as much as 1.3" in front and 1.2" in the back and stiffens the spring rate. Both combine to lower the car's center of gravity and reduce the amount of bodyroll in corners. The springs are progressive rate so their initial stiffness is actually very compliant and it becomes stiffer as the spring is compressed. This is great for street cars that see bumps and potholes where suspension compliance is key. Overall, they are about 30% stiffer than the stock original springs. Lowering amount will be less if replacing the factory sport suspension.

We use Bilstein B8 shocks as the dampers and they feature Bilstein's patented and innovative valving system. With this system, small bumps and impacts are absorbed as they should be. But the shocks stiffen for cornering and other suspension motions. It's the best of both worlds as the shock self-adjusts based on suspension motion. Bilstein HD shocks work with these shorter springs because the only change Bilstein makes is a slightly longer shock. These fit with the stock strut and shock mounts, making for an easy and clean install.

The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus Kit includes two front struts and two rear shocks. These shocks are for use with lowered springs such as from H&R or Eibach. We do not recommend that you use them with any factory spring, including factory sport package springs. With the increased damping rates from stock you will have much more control over body motions. These will give a much more buttoned down and taut feeling with lowering springs compared to stock shocks.

These SPL front lower control arms open up a wide range of adjustment for roll center, camber, and track width adjustment and allow for full articulation with the correct ball joint angle. Instead of using traditional jam nuts, the main arm is slotted to allow the use of pinch bolts and SPL rotating clamps on their exclusive adjuster, making it easier to lock in track width and camber specifications.

As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. These are the stock replacement front upper control arm bushings. It is also known as the thrust arm bushing or pull rod bushing. This is a set of 2 bushings (31126763719 x 2).

After shocks and springs, sway bars make the biggest change in handling. Larger swaybars will reduce bodyroll and understeer. The car will corner flatter with the tire in better contact with the pavement. New urethane bushings are included.

This is a rear 15mm sway bar that is larger than the factory sway bar.
