The intake boot is a regular issue especially for BMW's, nearly all vehicles have a boot manufactured from rubber with an accordion section in the design for flexibility. This flexible section is typically where the failure comes from, leading to vacuum leak engine codes, rough idle, and increase fuel consumption. 

When you upgrade to a Turner silicone intake boot you get a perfect fit that will not only outlast the OE design (meaning any vacuum leaks and rough idle), while also smoothing out airflow within the intake tract. This boot also eliminates the factory intake resonator giving your engine a much more aggressive sound under the hood especially at higher rpm. The Turner Motorsport silicone intake boot is manufactured with 5 layers of wire reinforced silicone to prevent collapse under load. Engineered in-house utilizing 3D scanning technology, this boot offers perfect fitment with the factory air box and either single stage or three stage (high output N52) intake manifolds.

Using a Flow Bench, our Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

Our Turner S65 Carbon Intake is a monster that perfectly compliments the high revving 4.0l V8 engine. The intake benefits start right at the motor; directly connected to the plenum is a full carbon intake tube with a substantially larger cross sectional area with smooth transitions which results in more airflow available to the engine in high demand scenarios. The inlet tube mounts securely to the full carbon heat shield and is mounted in factory airbox locations while retaining the factory cold air induction tract from the hood. Housed inside the heat shield is a behemoth cone filter to ensure proper filtration and maximize airflow. Turner's S65 intake is designed with air flow in mind and features a roaring induction sound. The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the "sweet spot" on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack filter that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle.

In BMW's with the N55, the intake system is partially limited. The bottom portion is lightweight and great for feeding cold air to the intake, but the top portion is excessively restrictive. Working with some of the original equipment, this intake continues to utilize the bottom portion of OE ducting and heat shielding, but replaces the top with new high flow ducting and a performance filter. Extensive testing showed up to a 10+ HP gain to the wheels and allows for quicker turbo spool speed. Plus, this design gives you a great sound improvement, letting you hear both the intake and turbo spooling!
