In BMW's with the N55, the intake system is partially limited. The bottom portion is lightweight and great for feeding cold air to the intake, but the top portion is excessively restrictive. Working with some of the original equipment, this intake continues to utilize the bottom portion of OE ducting and heat shielding, but replaces the top with new high flow ducting and a performance filter. Extensive testing showed up to a 10+ HP gain to the wheels and allows for quicker turbo spool speed. Plus, this design gives you a great sound improvement, letting you hear both the intake and turbo spooling!

Installation and removal is extremely quick and easy, taking only 5 minutes in the driveway!

These are also usually replaced when adding the 330 manifold to a 325, 328. Price is for a set of 6 - one for each intake runner. On cars with V8 engines 2 sets are required.

The crankcase oil vent system on the N52/N54 is one of its weakest and cheaply designed systems. We see crankcase vent issues on even stock engines but with more boost the problems are exponential. This Vargas upgraded PCV valve, and an oil catch can, are what the N54 engine needs and may alleviate most of your oil and boost leak issues. The PCV valve is supposed to let oil either return to the oil pan or pass through the intake manifold and get burned up in the combustion chamber. However, BMW used a weak plastic vent valve that doesn't seal well when under boost. Instead of closing and venting the oil out of the intake, it's forced through this valve and into the intake and coating your valves with oil residue and carbon. Most boost equals more oil forcing its way by. This upgraded N54 PCV valve uses higher grade materials, including aluminum, to provide a better seal and prevent oil from entering the intake. It's an easy install and a must-have item when considering any turbo work.

In BMW's with the N55, the intake system is partially limited. The bottom portion is lightweight and great for feeding cold air to the intake, but the top portion is excessively restrictive. Working with some of the original equipment, this intake continues to utilize the bottom portion of OE ducting and heat shielding, but replaces the top with new high flow ducting and a performance filter. Extensive testing showed up to a 10+ HP gain to the wheels and allows for quicker turbo spool speed. The E90 330i had the highest horsepower out of the N52-powered vehicles. The reason for this was while the 128i, 325i, 328i, 525i, and 528i received a single-stage manifold, the 330i was gifted a 3-stage manifold. A 3-stage manifold consisted of 2 DISA valves that would divert air to the cylinders that needed it. With more air going to the appropriate cylinders and fuel adjustments by the ECU, this valve system helps extract the most power from the N52. Developing the E9X M3 Eventuri intake system took hours of development and optimization from the mad scientists over at Eventuri. The stock E9x M3 intake is very well designed from the factory, offering a great flow path and feed system for air - it wasn't easy to improve upon, but Eventuri made it happen. Eventuri found restrictions in the inlet tube that connects the airbox to the inlet manifold on the S65 engine. They redesigning the tube and maintained the airbox, allowing the German V8 engine to breathe more efficiently and put down some substantial power gains. In addition to the new tube design, Eventuri also optimized a restriction in the air feed system by designing a scoop that allows increased airflow through the airbox, reducing inlet temperature values putting down more GAINS.
