Having these on hand instead of chasing them down at the last minute will save you time, money, and frustration. With the head off the car you're going to want or need to replace these items anyway to ensure it's free of fluid and vacuum leaks. This is especially important because the newer BMW models have very strict emissions controls and vacuum and oil leaks can create turmoil in the system. Even if you're not pulling the head this set includes so many valuable parts you'll want to keep this on hand to use for spares.

This top-end gasket set covers the cylinder head on the S54 engine used in the E46 M3, Z3 M Roadster/M Coupe, and E85/E86 Z4 M Roadster, M Coupe. If you're pulling the head, intake manifold, or doing any other upper end engine work this set can be a time and money saver. This set includes all of the commonly replaced gaskets, seals, and o-rings when overhauling the head. It's also a useful kit to have and dip into any time you're doing upper end engine work. Not having a critical seal or gasket on hand can ruin your work and this gasket set can prevent that from happening. This Victor Reinz set includes the head gasket.

This oil cooler system is race tested and proven to outflow the euro M3 oil filter housing. Additionally, this particular system uses a sealing mechanism to direct the oil flow through the cooler lines and then through the oil filter.  Other cooler caps do not provide this seal and therefore the external oil coolers and lines act as a "balloon".  The lines and cooler are pressurized, but oil does not flow through them.  Flowing oil means it is being cooled and not just acting as an external reservoir.

Flow testing reveals that the oil cooler cap will outflow the Euro M3 Oil Filter Housing by more than 80% at the same, pressure, RPM, and oil temperature. In the upper RPM range, there is nearly a 100% improvement in flow from the RallyRoad oil cooler cap when compared to the Euro M3 oil filter housing.  This is a massive improvement over OE and is a worthwhile upgrade, especially in engines that see severe duty.
