This ATI Super Damper is a direct replacement for the OEM Harmonic Balancer, designed to further reduce harmful engine harmonics that could lead to damage to sensitive engine components. The 21% underdrive function of this super damper is designed to greatly increase usable horsepower for racing applications by driving engine accessories slower, reducing overall parasitic power loss.

OEM dampers are optimally tuned to a narrow band of perceived normal driving conditions and do not perform well outside of those limits. The ATI Super Damper can handle any engine speeds and driving conditions that get thrown at it to better protect your engine.
