The VTT F3X Ultimate Rear Drag Brake Conversion Kit is the first of its kind designed specifically for the BMW F3X platform to allow the fitment of 15-inch wheels and tires for dedicated drag racing. This kit replaces the bulky, heavy factory single-piston rear calipers and large rotors with a lightweight, high-performance system centered around 4-piston Wilwood calipers. The combination of silver 4-piston calipers and plain rotors provides a balanced thermal profile for drag racing, where heavy initial clamping is needed to hold the car in the staging beams, followed by controlled deceleration at the end of the track.
Because drag racing typically does not involve the repeated high-heat cycles of road racing, the solid plain rotors provide maximum surface area and structural integrity without the risk of cracking often associated with drilled rotors under extreme stress. This kit is a dedicated racing tool designed to help F3X owners achieve lower ETs through better tire selection and significant weight reduction.
