Morimoto Retro-Quik ZKW Headlight Upgrade Repair Kit - E46 - (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
E46 BMW OEM ZKW Bi-Xenon headlights often suffer from quality issues, often found in the cheap plastic projector bowls. Morimoto's Retro-Quick system is a huge upgrade designed specifically for these failure prone headlights - this upgrade moves you from the standard Hella projector to the significantly more efficient and brighter projector design. This new design based on the Lancer Evo X's design features improved projector lenses and a more reflective bowl - not only will your headlights be more effective, but they will no longer be prone to self-destruction.
To ensure precise fitment, the Retro-Quick brackets used to mount the upgraded projectors are 100% engineered in the US and laser cut from G10 fiberglass plate. These allow you to utilize the original mounting holes, making this upgrade an easy install with only a minimal amount of required trimming.
In terms of bulbs, Morimoto XB HID D2S bulbs are manufactured to outperform any alternatives on the market. Testing shows that these bulbs reliably produce the same intensity as the industry benchmark - Osram CBI bulbs - at 5500K. Morimoto has become one of the largest aftermarket suppliers of HID light bulbs and accessories, proving time and time again their quality is just as high, or even higher, as many OE sources such such as Phillips, Osram Sylvania, and Hella.
As an additional option for this kit, we have included the High Beam Splitter set. This will enable both the full projector lighting and the stock halogen high beam to run concurrently when the high beams are engaged, allowing for a significant increase in total lighting output.
