The M57 Motor & Trans Mount Kit for the 2009-2012 BMW 335d E90 secures the diesel engine and transmission to the vehicle frame to prevent excessive vibrations from entering the cabin. The high torque output of the M57 diesel engine deteriorates factory mounts over time, causing drivetrain misalignment, uneven engine surfaces, and clunking during acceleration or deceleration. Installing the M57 Motor Mount Kit eliminates engine rock during gear changes and braking, preventing premature drivetrain component wear. Turner Tip: If the passenger side mount is trapped by the DPF, do not fight it. Instead, unbolt the aluminum engine bracket (four E-Torx bolts) directly from the engine block. Pull the bracket and the mount out together from the bottom.
