| Turner Motorsport: Keys To Performance
In 2018, sometime around a year after I had begun working for Turner Motorsport in limited capacity, I had pitched the idea of a DIY series of articles and/or videos to help BMW enthusiasts learn more about their cars. When our Sunday email open rates had dropped and stayed there, I was given the green light to try my idea in partnership with our in-house R&D team to create a library of information on BMW mechanical systems.
This venture was not just exciting, it was extremely educational for me. At the time, I would have considered myself close to expert-level when it came to wrenching and understanding how everything works together in vehicle systems. This series forced me to admit that I still had plenty of room to grow. I learned at a rapid pace, working alongside our technical writers and engineers for fact accuracy, and found myself well beyond where I ever thought I would be as a DIYer and BMW enthusiast. The series was thankfully successful enough to warrant a continuation, so when we had covered everything we wanted to with that series, I was once again given the OK to keep writing.
Naturally, the library of Keys To Performance articles lives permanently on our site. Hopefully, those will continue to be a resource for BMW enthusiasts everywhere.

| Wrapping up (for good)
Weekly for the better part of two years has been my creative outlet here. If you don’t know, I’m also responsible for many content roles at ECS, our sister company, so I’ve been able to use Weekly as an escape from extremely curated content. Turner articles are always based on whatever my mood is, where my head is that week, or what I’m actively doing with my BMWs. It’s a chance to tell my stories, the stories of my BMW friends around me, and an opportunity to just share with the BMW community as a whole. At least, the ones who read TMS Weekly, that is. For those reasons, I’m incredibly sad to leave, but excited to start a new journey at the same time. I won’t be completely cut off from the car world, you can still follow me on Instagram at @das_vader and keep up with my wacky BMW adventures, but I’ll be gone from your Sunday morning routine and likely not at the track or events for the next few years while I pursue a new degree. So, hopefully, I’ll see many of you here and there on the road in the coming years. Until then, it’s goodbye from me to you and Turner Motorsport Weekly.
