Our Valved exhaust was designed specifically for your E46 and there are no other options on the market like this. Control the tone and volume of your exhaust with the click of a button. With the valves closed you have a nice low tone and hearty exhaust note. When the valves are open you get complete unrestricted access to sound and power for when your at the track or just in the mood to let it rip.
Our Turner catback features dual 2.0" stainless steel mid-pipes that connect directly to your factory downpipes. Within the mid-pipes is an integrated x pipe for a smooth flowing center section with lower amounts of back pressure which leads to increased performance and a smoother exhaust tone. The 2.0" mid-pipes crossover and flow into a 3" exhaust section and full 3" valved muffler. The muffler features integrated 3" exhaust tips for an aggressive look that fills out your rear diffuser to get the perfect appearance.
Valved exhausts of this caliber can be found on new performance models, super cars and overall cars way above the price ranges of a nice E46. Surprisingly enough some E46's did come with a type of vacuum actuated mufflers which opened and closed the exhaust under certain rpm ranges, unfortunately by now the factory valve is damaged or the muffler no longer actuates. Although the factory valved muffler on E46's were great in theory, there was very little change in tone and was limited by your driving style. Taking notes from the original engineering process from BMW, our engineers revitalized this cool technology and made it better. The final product is a light-weight performance exhaust that features superior valving and show stopping aesthetics!

The B58 engine earned the badge "Worlds 10 Best Engines" four times as of 2023. In 2016 the single turbo straight six found its way to the leaderboards for the first time and followed up in 2017, 2019, and 2020 staying on the charts as one of the best engines in the WORLD.
Our new cat-back exhaust is designed to take out restrictions, maximize flow and give your B58 a signature exhaust note that will excite you on every drive. From the factory your vehicle comes equipped with a combination of three mufflers and resonators that do a great job of silencing the exhaust and restricting flow. There is a center muffler(one restriction), rear section resonator(two restrictions) and a bulky muffler(three restrictions!). With all of those stop gates how do you expect to get the maximum performance out of your vehicle, you simply cannot do so. Lucky for our in-house engineers you no longer have to deal with the quiet and limiting factory exhaust.
To create a cat-back exhaust for this incredible engine the changes happen right after the downpipe. We replaced the factory oval pipe with our full 3.0" T304 stainless steel piping. The true 3.0" exhaust makes its way through the center and rear of the car without the center muffler or resonator to keep flow to a maximum! With smooth mandrel bent transitions our exhaust passes perfectly under the rear subframe for a factory equivalent fit. Positioned in the rear of the car is our signature B58 muffler with beautiful inlet and outlet piping that creates the perfect exhaust tuning. Featuring relief cut slip joints and fabricated sheet metal brackets the exhaust can be fully adjusted and mounted seamlessly in the factory locations. Dual 4.0" exhaust tips are optioned to fill out the open space in the rear diffuser and complete the rear profile of the vehicle.

B58 Engine Design:
BMW's first mass produced turbo charged engine, the N54 took the world by storm opening a whole can of worms in the car industry and aftermarket community. A new era of motors were created with the new B58 roughly 9 years after the N54 had been tested and pushed to its limits along with its single turbo companion, the N55. In 2015 the modular engine family was created and the B58 was released into the wild to set a new standard in performance and reliability. Turning back to their roots the B58 engine features a closed-deck engine design similar to the N54 that allows a massive increased in boost pressure capacity and heightened compression ratio. Thought the B58 is similar in weight and size to its predecessor, the new modular engine makes considerably more power right off the rip. With the new block design heat management has been upgraded to reduce the affects of heat cycling to slow the rate of cooling and prevent engine components from failing due to rapid cooling. Just like the N55 the B58 comes fitted with dual vanos, valvetronic and a single twin scroll turbo. Just 8 years experience of this motor we can all agree that the B58 looks like it could be the future of motors to come. This tunable engine has been tested up to 1000hp with the stock block and hosts a platform for the community to break into a whole new class of attainable "supercar killers".

We set out to amplify the F80/F82 with a proper exhaust system. To accomplish this goal, our engineers at Turner increased flow and delivered an exhaust system that captures the full unrestricted sound of the twin turbo inline-6 S55 engine. The increase in flow was gained from dual 2.5" stainless exhaust pipes that feed into one of the best designed mufflers on the market. When you are shopping for an F87 M2 you have two options to choose from. Your choice can be the standard M2 with the N55 engine or the M2 Competition that comes equipped with the S55. The best part about either the competition or non-comp M2 is you are still getting the "M" suspension, characteristics and drive. From our experience there is not a big trade off between the two models that can justify the price difference. With the N55 you get a lighter weight and extremely capable weapon. We set out to amplify the N55 M2 with a proper catback exhaust system. To accomplish this goal, our engineers increased flow, reduced your exhaust weight to a total of 28lbs, and delivered an exhaust system that captures the full unrestricted sound of the sonorous twin scroll turbo inline-6 N55 engine. The increase in flow is gained from true 3.0" 304 stainless steel front section that feeds into the straight-through free flowing rear section. We specifically designed this catback with flow in mind to ensure the exhaust would never be a restriction. Upgrading the sound:
Our exhaust allows you to turn up the volume and let the B46/B48 boast its smooth and hearty exhaust tone. Let's be honest, what's the point of owning a B48 if you're not going to upgrade the exhaust? Our signature muffler design allows you to transfer the exhaust valve from your factory system directly onto your new Turner system. The Turner exhaust signature muffler design allows for two flow paths that change both tone and volume. With the vehicle in eco or comfort mode, the valves remain closed, with the closed valves the exhaust system allows the gasses to flow through the muffler toning down the volume and giving a more refined exhaust note. While in driving modes sport or sport+ the valve opens and the flow path changes to a "straight flow path" essentially turning into a straight-piped exhaust for the least amount of restriction and the most amount of B48 sound!
How the cat-back is designed:
To create a cat-back exhaust for this incredible vehicle the upgrade happens right at the downpipe. Turner replaced the factory components with oversized 3.0" T304 stainless steel piping. The true 3.0" exhaust makes its way through the center and rear of the car without the center muffler or resonator to keep the flow to a maximum! With smooth mandrel bent transitions, this exhaust passes perfectly under the rear subframe for a factory equivalent fit. Positioned in the rear of the car is Turner's signature B46/B48 muffler with a beautiful inlet and outlet piping that creates the perfect exhaust tuning. Featuring relief cut slip joints and fabricated sheet metal brackets the exhaust can be fully adjusted and mounted seamlessly in the factory locations. Dual 3.0" exhaust tips are optioned to fill out the open space in the rear diffuser and complete the rear profile of the vehicle.

If you have driven an S58 car, even in stock form it feels like the sky is the limit.(If you haven't driven one, we are not sure why you are even looking into this exhaust)
When your driving an S58 equipped car such as the G80 M3 you can put your foot to the floor and it feels like the car would keep going and going, possibly with no limit. The G80 driving experience is great but there is always room for improvement. if dropping over 40lbs from just your exhaust and the gain in flow alone aren't enough to sell you, no problem. From enhancing the exhaust with smoother flow paths and taking out the bulky and restrictive muffler we saw gains up to 10hp and 14lb of torque on the stock ecu with zero tuning. Now that there are options for plug and play tunes as well as unlocking your ECU for custom tuning there is a much larger upside for power improvements. You will have to find the other restrictions holding you back from more power because it wont be the exhausts fault, this is as free flowing as it gets.

When your driving an S58 equipped car such as the G80 M3 you can put your foot to the floor and it feels like the car would keep going and going, possibly with no limit. The G80 driving experience is great but there is always room for improvement. if dropping over 40lbs from just your exhaust and the gain in flow alone aren't enough to sell you, no problem. From enhancing the exhaust with smoother flow paths and taking out the bulky and restrictive muffler we saw gains up to 10hp and 14lb of torque on the stock ecu with zero tuning. Now that there are options for plug and play tunes as well as unlocking your ECU for custom tuning there is a much larger upside for power improvements. You will have to find the other restrictions holding you back from more power because it wont be the exhausts fault, this is as free flowing as it gets.

Finally the answer to your E36 exhaust woes! Upgrade from your old, crusty or quiet exhaust that lacks the OOMPH you want to hear when stepping on the gas. Our crew at Turner have been describing this exhaust with words like “symphony” and “hearty” with its smooth and low frequency tone. This is the kind of exhaust we stand outside and listen to as our residential test vehicle rolls out from work heading off in the distance while singing the oh so sweet straight six sound.
Our new E36 axle back is a tribute to the E36 M3 in more ways than one. The exhaust features 90s styling exhaust tips to compliment the sharp yet rudimentary body lines. Just like the E36 our exhaust was designed to be raw, straight to the point, lightweight and timeless.
To accomplish these goals our engineers rev’d up their creativity and went straight to work. Adapting straight to the mid-pipes our engineers transformed the lackluster 2.0” tubing and stepped up to a true-dual 2.5” exhaust with an integrated x-pipe to smooth out the flow and fine tune the exhaust note just how we wanted. Towards the rear of the vehicle you will find a light-weight and perfectly spec’d muffler featuring fabricated sheet metal hangers, slash cut integrated tips and achieves a fine-tuned exhaust note. We can only hope the community enjoys this exhaust as much as we at Turner enjoy it. As a part of the community, we are excited to offer this awesome exhaust for all to enjoy.
Non-M Fitment: Although we designed this exhaust specifically for the M3 model we felt it was a shame to rob this exhaust opportunity from the Non-M E36 owners. Face it, every straight six deserves a sweet exhaust. If you or your fellow enthusiasts feel so inclined our exhaust can be fitted to all standard 6 cylinder E36s. ** For non-m E36s you will have to slightly bend the exhaust hangers to get perfect fitment in the non-m rear bumper/diffuser. **

Why the upgrade?
By now your E36 M3 is approaching 30 years of age and you have a few possible exhaust situations:
- One of the options is you still have the factory exhaust and it is at the end of its life, it could be covered in rust and unsightly or packed solid with soot deposits which is not helping the weight, flow or tone of your exhaust.

Here at Turner Motorsport, we've loved the E39 540i for a long time. Our engineering team gathered around one and thought, "how can we make this better?" Muffler deletes are among the most drastic improvements an enthusiast can make to his or her M62 powered vehicle. BMW V8s sound incredible without the factory muffler. We wanted to offer an extremely high quality, 304 stainless steel muffler delete that you could install yourself - so we did. Our Turner Muffler deletes are CAD designed in-house, ensuring that each unit has integrated hangers and is mandrel bent to precisely fit in the factory exhaust location. Additionally, we added a turn down if you aren't interested in aftermarket tips - however, there's a cut line to add tips as well.

Our Race Inspired exhaust deletes the rear mufflers in the F10 M5 to allow more of the exhaust sound to be heard. We love our M5 but it's just too quiet so we looked at ways to get more of the stock exhaust to be heard. After evaluating the stock exhaust layout it was easy to see that removing the rear mufflers would accomplish what we wanted. But cutting the mufflers off is just the beginning. We then had to develop a set of pipes and design a set of tips that fit perfectly and also looked right at home on the M5 super sedan. And these M5 muffler delete pipes are the finished product.
Our axle-back exhaust is made from a 304 stainless steel tube in the same diameter as the stock exhaust and with mandrel bends for unimpeded flow. It fits with the stock hangers and is clamped to the stock exhaust pipes once the mufflers are cut off. And the entire installation can be done in about an hour with the exhaust on the car. With factory clamps, you can easily reinstall your stock mufflers or a set of Corsa Performance mufflers at any time. Our tips are also stainless in a perfectly proportioned 89mm (3.5" diameter). They fill out the rear bumper valence perfectly - not too small like stock and not boy-racer large. Tips are available in mirror silver or brushed aluminum..
The final result is that removing the stock mufflers really lets the M5 V8 sing! With the mufflers and flapper valves removed the sound on start-up is scintillating. The sound from the S63TU engine is robust and intoxicating - it just needs to be heard! From outside, the muffler-delete exhaust makes the car seem all the more impressive. From the burble at idle to the roar under full throttle there is little doubt that this is a proper M car. Inside the car during normal driving the sound is not changed much thanks to the Active Sound Design system. It's a little louder but not intrusive or irritating. Around town the car sounds much like stock but just a touch louder. The exhaust pops and burbles more with each downshift. On the highway at 70-80 cruising speeds it's as quiet as a muffled exhaust. We tried to get the exhaust to drone but only experienced it at low speeds in a high gear (i.e. - lugging the engine) which we normally wouldn't do.
Our Race Inspired M5 exhaust is perfect for enhancing and accentuating the stock sound. It lets more of the M5's soundtrack come through without extensive exhaust modifications. If you want to enjoy the M5's sound more, think of this as its volume knob turned up.

An X-Pipe can do wonders for your engine for performance and sound. Exhaust gasses come out of your motor in pulses from each individual cylinder, with a cross-over or x-pipe the exhaust gasses meet in the middle and combine. If you are bored of E53's factory exhaust and want to hear more of your German V8, Our E53 muffler deletes are the perfect solution! We developed a simple yet affective way to transform your exhaust without breaking the bank. Our E53 muffler delete system is a slip fit exhaust option that you can install in your own garage with just hand tools.
Over the years your factory muffler gets filled with deposits and turns almost rock solid (knock on them, they no longer sound hollow.) The build up of deposits add weight and can even reduce flow causing a restriction and build up of unwanted backpressure. This exhaust allows you to turn up the volume and let the 4 cylinder boast its smooth and hearty exhaust tone. Let's be honest, what's the point of owning a f chassis if you're not going to upgrade the exhaust? Turner's signature muffler design allows you to transfer the exhaust valve from your factory system directly onto your new Turner system. The Turner exhaust signature muffler design allows for two flow paths that change both tone and volume. With the vehicle in eco or comfort mode, the valves remain closed, with the closed valves the exhaust system allows the gasses to flow through the muffler toning down the volume and giving a more refined exhaust note.
