4th GTD Podium Of the Year At Laguna Seca - Heading To Sebring To Close Out 2020
Amesbury, MA. – November 5th, 2020--
Turner Motorsport left Laguna Seca with its 4th podium of the 2020 GTD season, finishing 2nd in Sunday's race. The podium finish puts the Bill Auberlen and Robby Foley in 4th place for season long points as they prepare for the final race of the 2020 season, the historic 12hrs of Sebring. While it may seem a stretch to claim the title of GTD class champion, Turner is only 20 points from the top step and 10 points from 3rd place. With some luck, tacos and a strong finish, the Turner team could end up fighting for its first championship since 2014 (when they campaigned the fan favorite Z4 GT3) Tune in next Saturday, November 14, to catch all the action and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter (Dad - It's not that complicated).
Along with the close of the WeatherTech Championship season, the Turner Motorsport team will also finish out their Michelin Pilot Challenge Series season with both the #95 & #96 M4 GT4s. Leaving Laguna Seca with a 5th place finish, the #95 M4 sits just 10 points off a championship podium spot. Drivers of the #95, Auberlen and Foley, will come into Sebring hungry looking for more points to complete the season.
