Turner Motorsport Brings GTD and GS Points Lead to Laguna Seca
Sept. 8, 2021 – Newton, NH ---
Turner Motorsport arrives at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with an 18-point lead in the GT Daytona points standings following a runner-up finish at Road America in the last round of 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The result was the third podium finish for co-drivers Bill Auberlen, Robby Foley, and the No. 96 BMW M6 GT3. The other two podiums? Wins at Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen.
In the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Championship the news is even better. A win at Road America has No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 co-drivers Bill Auberlen and Dillon Machavern leading the Grand Sport class points standings with a 120-point advantage over Turner teammates Vin Barletta and Robby Foley in the No. 96 BMW M4 GT4. That’s right, with seven of 10 races completed, Turner Motorsport has BMW firmly on top of the GS standings.

How to watch
The Michelin Pilot Challenge race takes the green flag at 4:40 p.m. PT on Saturday, Sept. 11 and is scheduled to be broadcast on NBCSN from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 21.The WeatherTech SportsCar race will begin at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 and will be broadcast live on NBC SN beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET.
