Over the years Turner Motorsport has enjoyed some very good days at VIRginia International Raceway. This weekend’s two GT World Challenge events – Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2022 season – was no different as the No. 96 Turner Motorsport LIQUI-MOLY BMW M4 GT3 scored two PRO class runner-up finishes and the best result of the year for drivers Michael Dinan and Robby Foley.
Saturday’s 90-minute Round 5 event saw Dinan start from the fifth overall position and, 47 laps of the 3.27-mile, 17-turn circuit later, Foley finished second overall and second in the PRO class. Excellent stints by both drivers, great pit work and no mistakes. On Sunday, it was the same result. Excellent stints, great pit work and no mistakes. Second in the PRO class after 44 laps because of two long caution periods that slowed the field.
