| Six Turner Motorsport BMW G82 M4's will see action in 3 different series at this weekend’s races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The event marks the mid-point of the 2023 season. This is only the second event at CTMP in four years after the Covid pandemic closed the border in 2020 and 2021.
Will Turner commented, “We closed the first half of the Michelin Pilot Challenge season with a strong 1-2 at Watkins Glen. Like The Glen, circuits in the second half of the season are usually strong ones for the team and BMW so we are certainly chasing the championship. Our GTD program has shown some bright spots and we are looking to gather some steam this weekend. I am also excited for the return of the VP Challenge races - its been a while since they raced at Sebring,
Michelin Pilot Challenge – BMW M4 GT4
The Michelin Pilot Challenge season has been a good one so far. Vin Barletta and Robby Foley have co-driven the No. 96 BMW M4 GT4 to victories at Sebring in March and, just two weekends ago, at Watkins Glen. They stand second in the Grand Sport (GS) class, only 60 points behind the class leader. Those wins are notable for many reasons, but the main one is that teammates Cameron Lawrence and Robert Megennis finished second in both races co-driving the No. 95 BMW M4 GT4. Lawrence and Megennis now stand sixth in GS driver points. Turner has BMW standing second in GS Manufacturer points. Last year, Barletta and Foley finished eighth at CTMP.
The two-hour CTMP 120 for the Michelin Pilot Challenge takes the green flag at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8. The two-hour race will be streamed live on Peacock.
