Supersprint revised their rear muffler designs to offer this 'Generation 2' version - smaller body and freer flow than the standard Supersprint muffler but quieter and more civilized than the full Lightweight Racing mufflers. It's still lighter than the stock original or standard Supersprint mufflers. This Euro center resonator replaces a stock European-spec center resonator or US/Euro catalytic converter section. The Supersprint exhaust piping is 60mm in diameter - 10mm larger in each pipe than a standard US exhaust system. This larger sizing helps to improve exhaust flow which frees up horsepower from the engine. Instead of working to push exhaust gas through small pipes the exhaust gas flows easier so the engine doesn't have to work as hard. Now constructed with 409 stainless steel piping!
The Supersprint Euro center resontor replaces a stock BMW Euro M3 center resonator OR requires the full Supersprint Euro headers and Euro rear muffler. For the best flow with supercharging or intricate intake kits, the Euro system works best!

This oversized front (section 1) pipe is a direct replacement for the stock exhaust section. It's been optimized for flow with 80mm tubing and mandrel bends. It does have compressed sections like on the stock piece. Although this is very similar to the factory exhaust pipe the larger size from the Supersprint provides better flow and less restriction (key for making power in turbocharged engines).

This oversized section 2 pipe deletes the factory resonator to allow more sound to come from the exhaust. The factory resonator is there to make your BMW quieter and more 'refined'. But if you want more volume and to hear more of your engine, this is the perfect upgrade. This straight pipe is also less restrictive than a resonated pipe for more power and torque. These use the same tubular header design of the OBD-I Supersprint header but with the necessary ports for the secondary air injection so you won't need an air pump delete kit or special software. This Supersprint front section deletes the stock front resonator on the 2004-2010 E60 545i and 550i models. The factory exhaust has two very large resonators to dampen exhaust noise so if you want a little more rip and growl this is a direct replacement for the first resonator that is bolted to the headers and then clamped with section 2 of the exhaust.
