The stock E46 M3 brakes measure in at 328mm and use a 1-peice rotor. While these are great for road use and even some occasional track days, someone looking for the best track set up should look to change their brakes out to the E46 M3 CSL style brakes. With just the addition of a pair of caliper carriers and a new set of 345mm floating 2-piece rotors, you can substantially improve your braking performance.
E46 M3 CSL/Competition brake rotors offer a number of advantages over the stock rotors. First, they are larger, moving the friction surface further away from the center, creating more surface area. This helps to alleviate heat soak issues that would be found on smaller rotors. Second, they have built in cooling designs that allow the rotors to cool down quicker in between braking. Cross drilling allows for better cooling as well as better pad contact by allowing gasses and break dust to pass through and directional veining improves cooling by forcing through and directing the air flow to reduce temperatures.
This CSL rotor conversion kit can be used with factory wheel sizes of 18" and larger and any E46 M3 brake pad set can be used.
For the M3 purist the M3 CSL wheel set is the ultimate wheel package for the E46 M3. Although similar to the M3 ZCP wheels, these are a half-inch wider in the front with a slightly different concave face. In the bigger picture, a half-inch in the front will not change the handling or looks very much. But if your goal is a CSL clone or you insist on the very best factory wheels, this is the only set for you. Get them while they're still available (we import them from Germany).

More than likely, you are going to replace the radiator in your vehicle at least once. The joints where the cores meet the end tanks tend to get weak and are the first place to spring a leak. Impacts to the fins themselves can cause holes to form. Corrosion and clogging from the inside can make cooling less than effective and compromise coolant flow. Replace your leaking unit with a factory replacement and get that jug of coolant out of your back seat.
This is a factory original style radiator from Genuine BMW and will fit perfectly into the stock location. Cooling will be identical to what your car came with originally. A great replacement with all the proper connections and in all of the proper locations.
When doing radiator and cooling service, you will obviously lose coolant. Browse through the cooling section of your model to see factory correct coolants, seals, and caps. Before beginning, check your hoses to make sure everything is in good shape.

If there was a Top 5 list of things to do on the E46 M3, a shorter gears would be in the top two... The gearing used to be overlooked when planning modifications but the 3.91 and 4.10 gears are now one of our biggest selling upgrades for the E46 M3! With a rear end gear upgrade you get the effects of adding horsepower but without adding any more stress to the engine or drivetrain. The R&P acts as a torque multiplier, getting you into the power band sooner in each gear. It's one of the best areas to get return from your modification spending. The shorter (numerically higher) rear end gears will give you better acceleration in all gears at any speed with few downsides. Want to make your car faster off the line or out of corners? Or avoid a downshift to pass on the highway? This is what you need. This 4.10 is the latest version from BMW Motorsport - shot peened and hardend for increased strength. The R&P can be installed on its own but for cars that have more than 60,000 miles it would be a better idea to rebuild the whole diff. The factory viscous limited slip units have a typical lifespan of 50-70,000 miles. Why 5th? Because 6th does not have the mechanical advantage to get past wind resistance at these speeds - it is more of a cruise/overdrive gear. Using 5th for comparison purposes is much more relevant than having to take into account wind direction, resistance, grade, elevation, tire sizing, etc. These numbers are for comparisons among gear ratios only, not to determine what your M3 will top out at.
This item is the genuine BMW part and the ring & pinion set only. You will need to have this professionally installed into your existing differential. BMW does not supply differential rebuild parts (bearings, shims, plates, etc.) so only a qualified shop that is experienced in BMW diff rebuilding should perform this installation.
