One of our most popular items! We have been selling our S14 stroker kit since 1993. Since then we have sold HUNDREDS of this exact kit, and have received incredible feedback from our customers. RELIABLE Horsepower is our goal. Our E30 M3 2.5L Stroker kit uses factory BMW Evolution III parts to convert the stock 2.3 liter engine into the Evolution III 2.5 liter engine. Increasing the displacement and raising the compression yields much more torque: +50 ft/lbs @ 4000 rpm. With a stock head our 2.5 kit will make over 225 hp.
Our kit includes everything you need to convert your 2.3L into a 2.5L. We highly recommend upgrading the intake and exhaust system to allow larger 2.5L engine to breath. Call for more details and for "custom" packages. We can set you up with any other engine components you may want to replace (tensioner rails, chain guides, oil pump, etc) at the same time. For the US E36 M3. Schrick 264/256 degree camshafts boost mid-high end power for that extra motivation at higher rpm. Low-end torque is not seriously affected due to the M50/M52s VAN0S System. And, higher profile cams work extremely well with an upgraded intake and exhaust. When upgrading the cams there are other areas you must take into consideration. Higher-flow fuel injectors, larger mass-air sensor, and custom programming are strongly recommended. Turner Motorsport sells complete intake & cam packages that boost power to over 290hp. Still looking for more power after bolt-ons? High performance camshafts from Schrick are the way to go. These cams are a direct replacement for the stock cams and give a solid 15+ horsepower boost at the top end and great midrange torque increases too! More gains can be expected with intake and header upgrades and custom software tuning. A slightly lumpy idle is expected at cold start but will be smooth once at operating temperature. This set is just a great all-around cam upgrade for the S54!
These Schrick cams were initially developed for the M3 CSL but they also work great on the US and other non-CSL S54 engines as well. With more duration they are a great match to high flow headers, no cats, or CSL intake manifold upgrades. These are the new "cast" cams from Schrick which require new rocker arms (Schrick recommended or BMW part #11337833259). Professional installation is a must due to the intricacies with the double VAN0S.
